FAQ — First Coast Darts League

Question 1

How do I join the league?

Accepted Answer

Fill out our contact form at firstcoastdarts.com/contact or reach out to us at info@firstcoastdarts.com. We'll get you connected with a team or help you form your own. New teams and free agents are welcome every season.

Question 2

Do I need to be an experienced dart player to join?

Accepted Answer

Not at all! The First Coast Darts League welcomes all skill levels — from complete beginners to seasoned competitors. Teams are organized so that players of varying abilities can enjoy the game together.

Question 3

How much does it cost to participate?

Accepted Answer

We do not charge our players to participate, as they are traveling around Jacksonville each week to play in matches and are supporting small businesses with their purchases on league nights. This is something that makes our league attractive and has allowed us to grow.

In order to maintain our league website, pay DartConnect league fees and purchase awards each season, we ask sponsor venues to contribute $75 per-team each season.

Question 4

Can I join mid-season?

Accepted Answer

Mid-season additions depend on roster availability and league rules at the time. Reach out to us and we'll let you know what options are available.

Question 5

When and where do matches take place?

Accepted Answer

Matches are held weekly at our sponsor venues across Jacksonville. Each team is assigned a home venue. Check the Schedule page for match dates and the Venues page for location details.

Question 6

What format does the league use?

Accepted Answer

We play steel-tip darts using DartConnect for scoring and stat tracking. Match formats include Singles 301, Doubles/Singles 501 and Doubles/Singles Cricket.

Question 7

How many players are on a team?

Accepted Answer

Teams typically consist of 4–8 players. A minimum number of players must be present each match night to avoid a forfeit — your team captain will have the specifics.

Question 8

What happens if a team can't make a match?

Accepted Answer

Teams should notify the league and the opposing team captain as early as possible. Forfeits and reschedules are handled on a case-by-case basis per league rules.

Question 9

How are standings calculated?

Accepted Answer

Teams earn points based on match wins throughout the regular season. All teams advance to the playoffs. Full standings are updated on DartConnect immediately and the website is updated once weekly.

Question 10

Where can I find match results and stats?

Accepted Answer

Live scoring and detailed stats are available through DartConnect at my.dartconnect.com. Season standings are also posted on the Teams & Players page of this website.

Question 11

Are there awards at the end of the season?

Accepted Answer

Yes! We recognize the season champion, playoff champion, and individual player achievements. Awards are presented at our end-of-season event.

Question 12

Do I need to bring my own darts?

Accepted Answer

Your own darts are required.

Question 13

What kind of dartboards are used?

Accepted Answer

All league play uses regulation steel-tip, (most are staple-free) dartboards provided by the venues.

Question 14

Can I visit a venue before joining?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. All of our sponsor venues are open to the public. Stop by on a league night to watch a match and get a feel for the atmosphere before committing.
